Light Your Light
When you look at a candle, you might see a body of wax with a wick in it to light up a not-so-big area. That is not incorrect at all; in fact, it's exactly what it is. Some things, however, are not only what they are but also what they remind you of. When I look at a candle, I see red, fire, a calm temper; I feel romanced, relaxed; I hear a family laughing through a power cut. I feel safe. It's so wondrous to me that one object as simple as a candle can mean so much. It's what you think, how you feel, and how you choose to see it that makes you aware of the small things, mindful of the beauty in everything. The earliest memory I have of candles is probably my first birthday that I don't remember due to my extremely young age but I'll try and walk you through it from what I've seen in our home videos.
